April C. Yang
April C. Yang is an associate attorney at Carlson & Jayakumar LLP, where she practices all aspects of healthcare law and related litigation. Ms. Yang has experience representing clients in complex civil matters involving data privacy and cybersecurity related consumer class actions, and whistleblower cases arising under the False Claims Act and California False Claims Act. Ms. Yang was a Legal Fellow at the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health, where she consulted for and drafted evaluation reports commissioned by international governance bodies, such as the World Health Organization and the United Nations, civil society organizations, policymakers, and academic institutions to assess the impact of public health initiatives, specifically relating to HIV/AIDS legislation and legal protections. In addition, she served as a Certified Law Clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained courtroom experience assisting Deputy District Attorneys with trials and preliminary hearings.
Ms. Yang earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and her B.A. with high honors in English from Emory University.
